I was sure that I had seen episodes of Paper Dolls, but I was only 8 in 1984 and I don't think my parents were letting me stay up to 9pm to watch a television show, so I must have seen it in syndication. However, I definitely remember watching a bunch of these shows and taping others at the same time. Thursdays were almost impossible with Who's The Boss and Family Ties on at the same time. And I guess we must have stopped watching Magnum P.I and Simon and Simon in 1984 even those were two very popular shows in our house. We got our first VCR in 1983 and it seems just in time because we had a lot to tape while watching other things. Pretty sure I still have the VHS with the V Miniseries on it here somewhere! (Sidebar - Robert Englund will never not be Willie to me, and the same with Michael Ironside who is forever Ham). People might say we are in a golden age of television shows nowadays, but man 1984 sure could compete with our current line up.

In 1984, I was in the second year of high school. It was before any new Star Trek was airing. We watched a lot of VHS rentals in that time. I did watch some of these shows, not really devoted to any particular one. The Knight Rider, Fall Guy, Matt Houston and T.J. Hooker were definitely my go to choices. Spending most of my free time at home, getting caught up with many old shows, on TV , it is mainly CHCH and streaming on CTV Throwback and Tubi.com. (So many to choose from. i.e. Hunter, T.J. Hooker, Fantasy Island.) I was already doing that before the quarantine started. I am currently into a mystery phase. I discovered Partners and Crime from a DVD transfers site. It was kind of refreshing to watch. I found AfterMASH on Youtube. I you like the characters, there were some decent moments.
