So I have only one trivia fact about My Three Sons, but it has a Earle Hagen connection. Don Grady who played Robbie in MTS had a sister who acted under the name of Lani O'Grady, and she played Mary Bradford in Eight Is Enough. The Mod Squad is my second favourite tv theme song (after The Rockford Files - which is the greatest). The great thing about tv shows (and what gets me a job occasionally) is that they reflect how society changes. Barney Miller, for example, dramatizes every social debate happening in the late 70s-early 80s. MTS is a good example too. We see what society thought in 1960 and then we can see how different it was in 1970. TV shows give us a creative document that reflects social attitudes.
