I think Henry Mancini's greatest achievement was composing the theme for viewer mail on Late Night with David Letterman. He even came on and conducted it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9A-fYcUJsE4

I was very much a Remington Steele fan for several seasons, and then it started getting a bit soap opera-y (with his father and past and so on) and I drifted away. But I really liked its sly sense of humor; IIRC, the Pierce Brosnan character was always referring to movies as though they provided a better guide to crime than actual training, and how that sometimes worked! I remember Banacek very well, too--I think I watched it more because my mother loved it than because I did, but it grew on me...and then it was gone.

I was very fond of Remington Steele. I can even remember the episode that Paul Reiser was in, where he played a narcoleptic and witness to murder. Laura Holt posed as a doctor in the hospital to catch a killer. Amazing Spiderman - Didn't remember it being a series. Probably did watch the first episode.
