its Jamie I love two out of the three shows you talked about and no supercarrier was not one of them. but I did love all the themes to the shows. now beauty and the beast would have been interesting if u would have put mark Hamill as the man beast and carrie fisher as Katherine. when I listened to the supercarrier theme song it kind of reminded me of the theme song to American gladiators . and best of the west reminds me a lot about the tv western from the 70s alias smith and jones you know with pete duel and ben murphy. and the theme has that felt like best of the west. oh dave I also love your podcast rant that was awesome. Anthony I'm hoping your loving your new place. and bob I hope your doing well. I hope a new show comes up soon. speaking of new shows I got pretty much all of the mod squad now on dvd. that's a show u guys could talk about and the sword of justice with dax Rambo. well see u later Jamie.

When I saw you would be discussing a show called "Supercarrier," I thought it was a different show I had a vague memory of, the PBS 10-part documentary "Carrier." (http://www.pbs.org/weta/carrier/) I only watched part of one episode because I discovered it wasn't really what I was interested in, but you might be, Dave!

Ah, nevermind, you mentioned Carrier! A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum pretty much showed that Roman comedy can work--but also, I think, used it all up... ;)

Beauty and the Beast! I was 13 when this came out. My mother latched on to this one quickly, as you might expect. Being 13, the last thing I wanted to do was watch a corny romance with my mom. But I had just seen The Terminator, and had a serious crush on Linda Hamilton. Puppy love was enough to get me watching. I also found the light sci-fi/fantasy elements mildly entertaining. It came to be something that the two of us enjoyed together, when we weren't arguing over something like teenagers and moms do. I told Mom about remembering the show after hearing the podcast. She had forgotten as well, but her eyes lit up talking about it. She's now looking for ways to watch it online. So thanks for that!
