The last couple of years have brought with it some great developments for us cord-cutting nostalgiaholics, regarding free over-the-air options in the US. Between Me TV and now Antenna TV, there's a ton of great options--you just have to deal with a rotation of 6 low-budget commercials for catheters, terminally ill kids, and elephant conservation. Not trying to belittle any of those subject matters, but... wow.. the commercials wear you down faster than a waffle gets cold.
Anyways, I recommend everybody "check their local listings" for Antenna TV.. they show full episodes of Johnny Carson every night (!), along with Newhart, Good Times, Three's Company, Barney Miller and much more. Oh, and on Saturdays from 3-4pm, it's a double play of Mr. Belvedere in glorious sub-standard def. So if you're home doing nothing on a Saturday, you get the double whammy of depression, knowing you have no social life AND you're eking out an existence watching Bob Uecker act.
