If there is ever a "best of" episode of Best Episode Ever, there are tons of "best of" worthy clips in this one. You all had me LOL'ing all the day long, especially when Dave said that Vietnam was the war with the best soundtrack! Of course, I completely agree with that.

This was so fun! FYI: While of course Karloff voiced the Grinch (and the narration), he didn't sing "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch"; Thurl Ravenscroft did. (No, I don't know who he is either.) And while Dr. Seuss wrote the lyrics, the melody was written by Albert Hague--who was Shorofsky on Fame...and who was Jewish. My favorite TV Christmas show memory isn't a whole episode, it's one scene in one of the Murphy Brown Christmas episodes, the one where they all agree not to give each other presents. The bit I love is right at the very end, where they all are trying to sing a carol together as they step into the elevator, and as the elevator doors start to close and they are about to start singing, we hear Miles' voice determinedly singing "Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel..." :) Happy Chanukah! (And Merry Christmas or Happy Kwanza, or whichever Winter celebration you favor.)

Oh yeahhhh..the Yogi Xmas special! I recall seeing/slightly enjoying that all the time on the USA Network, which may or not be a thing still (I cut the cord 6 years ago). Tough to be the tunes in Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas in my book. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year, guys.
