I remember just a bit of the Hardy Boys--I watched it because I read the (1950s, un-updated) books which were well-represented in my local public library branch, but I was really a bit too old for it by the time it came out so I didn't watch it much. (I skipped the Nancy Drew side because I never really got into those books--by the time I ran into them I was already reading my mom's Agatha Christies.) Did you know that Michael Bennett (the creator of A Chorus Line) was a dancer on Hullabaloo (one of the Bandstand knockoffs Bob mentioned)? Link: http://youtu.be/6sEArYFZAco I find it somewhat frightening that I remember almost all the retro ads from their tag lines...

Jamie, I'm glad to see you're back on board! After last week's scathing review, I was quite worried that either I or Rachel would be left holding the title of Best Episode Ever's #1 Fan--a title that undoubtedly weighs more than Claude Akins.
