Bet you thought I wouldn't, but...yep, Prell is still in existence: http://ultimarkproducts.com/products/prell/ I never saw Whodunnit (I'm sure you're shocked and amazed), but I wish I had, because it sounds kinda awesome. I would guess that it was too expensive--the big plus going for game shows is that they're generally relatively cheap to produce, since they only have one set and very few cast members. A mini-drama each episode, though--not so cheap, and you need writers, or, more accurately, writers other than gag writers. (Thinking of Hollywood Squares and its ilk.) Um. Never saw the original Battlestar Galactica. Or any of the other versions... *ducks* (Ask me about Star Trek!) Mister Rogers, that's a good memory--and the show was running until quite recently, my nieces and nephews all watched it when they were little. I'm afraid Fred Rogers "real job" wasn't exactly exciting--he was an ordained minister. I also seem to remember that he had a degree in music composition and was quite fussy about the music for the show, which was mostly composed by a very good jazz composer, Johnny Costa. (Fred Rogers middle name was McFeely, after one of his grandfathers, so that's where that came from.) Thanks for the fun hour, guys!

Ever wonder whether Buck Rogers would meet Battlestar Galactica in space, as both were on a mission to seek out other humans? Seeing as they were both produced by Glen A. Larson. Never tired of watching the reruns on Saturday, some of it is forever etched in my mind. And memorable episodes of the original Battlestar Galactica also got remade in the re-imagine series. I chuckled every time someone said, "It has happened before and it will happen again." In the end, it suggested how Galactica 1980 should have happened. Even Boxey became an afterthought, never to appear again after the first new mini-series. Personally, I liked the daggit... so much so I have a giant poster puzzle of it.
