How is a dectective named Dan Tanna, driving a '57 Thunderbird, working out of Vega$, not the coolest concept for a show?

Slick only appeared in the first season. He was referred to in later episodes.

I hit return too soon.

Judy Landers character Angie also only appeared in the first season. And although Binzer stayed on, he wasn't as much a buffoon as he was in the first season, which was a change for the better. Although he also appears a lot less.

I found that the show was best in it's first seasons. The second season is okay but they made too many changes. The third season is nearly unwatchable.

Part of the problem is that they got into this formula where anyone related to Tanner would wind up getting beat-up or killed, often the later. He was dangerous to date.

I guess Vega$ could be considered a Charlie's Angels spin-off, although crossovers have been common throughout TV.

Patrick McNamara
If Vega$ was a Charlie's Angels spinoff, then Law & Order: SVU was a spinoff of Homicide: LOS because of Richard Belzer's character. ;-)

Thanks for the additional info on Vega$ BTW.

I guess you haven't heard of the Munchiverse. It was a big thing in the rec.arts.tv group a decade ago.

Hadn't heard about it. May have forgotten. I browsed rec.arts.tv pretty steadily for a few years around that time but never really contributed.
Love the work that went into the Munchiverse, but perhaps it ignores that there could be a MunchiMultiverse where Munch exists slightly differently in each one but is close enough that we don't notice the differences. Just devoted waaaaay too much time to this thought. :-)
