It's about time we published a new episode and it's about time Dave discussed It's About Time.

Oh... and Anth digs up another Hanna Barbera stinker: Where's Huddles?

I am relieved that I remember nothing whatever about either of these shows! And yes, there is an ides of December, it's just on the 13th rather than the 15th. (At least, that is if 1) I remember the Asimov Black Widowers story that discusses it correctly and 2) if Asimov got it right in the Black Widowers story that discusses it...)

See not all months have an ides, so I appreciated this response Rachel. Also, we watch these shows so you don't have to.

It doesn't matter if the show was any good or not, the theme song to It's About Time is good enough to tune in each week!

As a 7-year-old in 1966, whose favorite things in the world were astronauts and dinosaurs, I LOVED this show. Seeing it some 50+ years later, it's clear that it would have been better served as Saturday morning fodder for kids. My guess is that, since Schwartz had previously written for Bob Hope, had actually been the head writer for The Red Skelton Show, and now had a hit with Gilligan's Island, he had enough clout to pull in erstwhile comedy stars Imogene Coca and Joe E. "Ooh! Ooh!" Ross and convince CBS executives to foist the show on prime time viewers. Hey, we'd already bought into a human-like robot (My Living Doll), an alien rooming with a human (My Favorite Martian, for which Schwartz was a script supervisor), a genie living with an astronaut, and a talking horse, so why not? BTW, not only was the theme song awesome, so was the animation that accompanied it.

Hey Jon! I too loved astronauts, they were my heroes when I was little. While I am younger than you are I still loved those guys. Like I remember pretending to be Deke Slayton.....
